Year of the Rabbit



Introduction

I created this piece using the technique of hand-carved rubber stamps. I designed motifs of rabbits and fish to express the traditional Chinese blessing of “abundance year after year” (nián nián yǒu yú). The design incorporates auspicious symbols such as rabbits, fish, gold ingots, and ancient Chinese coins to convey wishes for good fortune in the Year of the Rabbit and continued luck throughout
the year.


Sketch
